The first half of the race was run solidly which set it up nicely for those back in the field. From that perspective, Come On Wongchoy (SID) was excellent in defeat and can be followed when he next steps out providing he doesn’t get that pressure on the front end of the field that he did this night.

This was run at an even tempo and they sprinted home. Lightning Treasure posted the best final-400m (22.31) in a race that rated well for this grade and can be followed. Gracious Ryder was also good and he is close to a win. Snap Fit won on debut and is clearly a talented galloper and whilst he had the run of the race, he looks well-treated in the handicap with a 6-point penalty so I’d be happy to keep following him. 

This was a C5 that was the second worst race on the card in terms of how it rated. Dashing Dart and Golden Cannon were both sound but I’m not sure how strong the form will be out of this race.

A fast first sectional was set here, followed by a touch slower for the next two sectionals. As a race overall it didn’t rate anything special but Naboo Star (SID) was taken back from a wide gate and stormed home. He was very good and can probably take closer order from a low gate and win in the short term.

This race was a crawl and then a sprint home. Cinquante Cinq (SID) off a slow tempo posted the best final-200m (11.04) at the meeting and caught the eye. He clearly has potential, but also had a clear run in a messy race. Merrygowin also ran on well, but he can do that and Happy Warrior probably would have gone close to winning but for being checked in the home straight. Overall, this rated the worst event on the card.

This was the best rating race on the card and it was an excellent win to Music Addition. He didn’t beat a lot, but was dominant in doing so and might be the only one out of the race worth following.

The pace was quite brutal in this one and from that perspective, runner up Vigor Fame was very good. If he can find a race where he can dictate the pace then he will take some catching in the short term. 

This race rated quite well and they ran at a pretty decent tempo throughout. Arcada came in for solid support and ran accordingly and Fearless Fire seemed to peak on his run, but might have had his chance.
