The turf track played very fast and there was a distinct “up and in” pattern. 7 of the 8 winners came from the lead or outside the lead position at the 600m and only one winner came from wider than 5-widths in the home straight. It was a horrible leader/on-rail bias.

The all-weather track (AWT) played quickly enough with no discernible pattern.
