There was some rain in the early part of the meeting but it was inconsequential for the track. The turf raced on standard. The fence in running was good and produced 8 of 9 winners. Winners came from 1st through to 12th position in running, from 0 to 6-lengths off the lead at the 600m, 1 to 2-wide and in lanes 1 thru 11 in the straight. Overall the track played fairly.
