I see this race predominantly as a fight between two last start winners, FLYING SWORD and HEZA BEAUTY. The former was excellent when scoring over the course and distance 3 weeks ago and that win rated particularly well. I would have clearly marked Flying Sword favourite had he drawn better, but it is going to be a little tricky for him from a wide alley. Heza Beauty drops in weight and rises in grade but was quite dominant last time against inferior opposition after getting the run of the race. He will no doubt be hard to beat again and he seems far more tractable since the earplugs have been applied pre-race. AWE is another Moore runner on the quick back-up and one just gets the feeling he is having a crack because, why not? So whilst Awe is in form, this race does appear to be a last-minute call. LOBO’S LEGEND deserves one of these races but he might have to settle for a minor spot again and his constant battle is where he maps. An upset from him wouldn’t be surprising though.
