There are certainly better quality races to play on the card but with potential nostalgia surrounding the combination of Joao Moreira, John Moore and KELMIMI WINS, that could allow SHANGHAI DRAGON to be available at a half-decent price. Shanghai Dragon will land in a forward position and if he holds the form from his 3^rdto Impeccable Fellow over this course and distance then by my assessment he is the horse to beat. Kelmimi Wins will also race in a similar position on the pace, but I think he has been a bit weak at the business end of his races. That said, it is possible that Moreira will be able to extract more out of him than recent riders like Keith Yeung. SPEEDY DRAGON is right in contention on raw numbers and whilst the wide draw means a tricky map for him, the drop in grade will make his task a lot easier. He might also appreciate the step up to 1400m with Purton taking the reins. NITRO EXPRESS is a runner that should find the 1400m sharp enough at this stage of his career, but he is pretty honest at this level and had success over the distance before. This is a small outlay race, where there’s some value around the early prices of Shanghai Dragon and Speedy Dragon.
