CHEVALIER PRINCE should relish the step up to a mile and he looks the runner to beat in this race. He was building nicely toward his last victory where the race worked out well for him with a strong speed set through out, but it was also good to see the runner-up Leading Fortune confirm the form when he won earlier this week. Chevalier Prince is drawn to natural find a good position behind the leaders and I expect him to be suited by the 1600m. SO WE JOY looks like he’ll be the main danger. He didn’t land in the right spot with the sedate tempo last time and he was building his form nicely prior to that. I like Joao Moreira being booked to ride him again and a more positive ride than last start can see So We Joy notch his first win. TELECOM ROCKET is a horse to watch, as his effort against the bias on the wet track was terrific and he is worth including in the exotics. I suppose the query is whether he can reproduce that on a quicker surface? SUN OF MAKFI is having his third career start and has shown solid potential over shorter distances. He should relish the move up to a mile and he finished alongside So We Joy when they last met, so must be respected on that alone. The early markets have So We Joy and Sun Of Makfi at the right prices for small outlays. I’ll be watching the price of Chevalier Prince closely with a view to backing him late and potentially creating a position with the three of them.
