There might be a couple of horses to play here at longer odds that will map at opposite ends of the field during the running. RELENTLESS ME has been in very good form for the majority of the season and there was nothing wrong with his effort on a wet track recently when the very fast pace that was set offset the bias that was in his favour. I think 1400m is a preferred distance for him and the 4.5kg claim should help once again. PICKEN is the other horse to consider strongly as “a back”, as his form has been rock-solid. Negative tactics on his last couple from wide draws have probably been the difference and whilst he will go back again, there is plenty of tempo in this event on paper and that should suit him. The prospect of strong speed could also suit the likes of AWE who has Zac Purton taking over the reins. His last effort was sound, but he appears to be over bet in the early markets. CIRCUIT GLORY was practically ridden the whole way last time to keep his mind on the job, but he closed well and might be one to consider, albeit very short in early betting. ELIGERE is another that brings sound formlines to the race and steps up to 1400m today.
