When LORIZ is rating on top of the “raced” entrants for an event, there isn’t going to be much appeal to playing, as generally speaking the gelding has been well exposed and is pretty limited. That said, Loriz maps nicely here and should find a prominent position, but to me is better suited to the city circuit, even though he has run some decent races at Sha Tin. WINNING ENDEAVOUR is coming back after a bleeding attack but his form over a mile last preparation for a different trainer was sound. He might find this trip a bit sharp but could run well at big odds as I expect that the market will be expecting him to be better for the outing and not ready for today. MIG ENERGY seemed to have every possible chance at his last start over this course and distance on June 14 and it is hard to get overly enthusiastic about his chances, although a similar effort should see him go pretty close as this race doesn’t look to be as strong. EXCELLENT PROPOSAL is a debutant from Australia who has moved well in his trials. He has found a particularly weak Class 3 contest to make his Hong Kong debut in and might be good enough to score. Any market support would be a key indicator. This isn’t a race I recommend having any large outlays on, with smaller outlays relative to overall confidence being on Loriz and Winning Endeavour.
