The runner to beat in race 6 is HEZA BEAUTY. He has been ready to win for a while but for one reason or another he hasn’t had the rub of the green. The biased track didn’t exactly help him last time and from a low draw today he gets his chance to notch his first local win. ARMOR STAR did the job for us last time and he looks a progressive galloper. There was more merit to the win than it looked, as he has to do some early work and as a result was a touch vulnerable late. Armor Star did well to hold on and repel the challenge of CIRCUIT HASSLER. The latter horse meets the former 1.5kg better and Circuit Hassler is likely to get a better run than last time when he was caught wide without cover and had to work. That said Circuit Hassler doesn’t win out of turn and has recorded only one win from 48 Hong Kong starts. SEIZE THE SPIRIT was poorly ridden last time and should have won against inferior opposition. The issue for him is, where will he be positioned from his wide draw? Given a big early price he looks some value and worth a small outlay. APEX TOP might be an improver here stepping up in distance. He’s had a quiet dirt trial since his last start and his work looks like it’s on an upward plane. The main play though is with Heza Beauty, with a smaller outlay on Seize The Spirit.
