There will be a play in this event with JAZZ STEED. The race-shape looks suitable for him and hopefully from a decent alley he can hold a good spot one-off the rail, either two or three pairs back from the leaders. Jazz Steed narrowly failed to score on his last start over the track and trip where WE THE SOUTH prevailed and his 22.48s final-400m was clearly a race-best. FORZA ANGEL didn’t have many favours from the same form reference (Race 715) and he has sound claims considering he should get a much better run in transit this time. WILD WEST WING also comes through the same form line and his performance wasn’t much inferior to any of the aforementioned runners and he gets a favourable weight swing from those. SUNNY AND GOLD is an interesting horse. His trial in Victoria prior to leaving for Hong Kong was very good and he has shown potential in his work under Yip, although he has had some issues along the way. Any market support for him could be a telling indicator, so look out for that. Jazz Steed is the horse I’m backing here though.
