This is another race where Purton and Moreira could easily run the quinella. TOTAL POWER has clearly been set for this race by trainer David Hall. His last run over 1200m was encouraging – even though he never looked likely to win – the son of Dundeel rattled off a solid final-400m (22.94) and was doing his best work late. Tonight Total Power gets the drop in class, will have the blinkers-on and Zac Purton is booked to ride. In addition, the form out of his last race reads well with California Rad, Golden Dash and Superb Daddy each winning their next outing. DAILY BEAUTY narrowly failed to notch his first Hong Kong win on his last run over 1200m at the city course and the son of All American looks as though the mile will be far more suitable. He gets 8kg off his main rival and that might be a factor that comes in to play late in the race. UNIVERSAL GO GO is holding his form well enough but hardly wins out of turn, while INCANTO PREPARED is getting closer to a win and this race presents another chance for him, even though he’s drawn very awkwardly in barrier 10.
