CHEVALIER PRINCE is the horse to beat in race 9. He was a main play for me last time and unfortunately he was badly hampered when jumping out of the gates and pretty much lost his chance to win from there. Nonetheless, his run to still run 2^ndwas full of merit and considering this is just his third career start, he is open to further improvement. MIGHTY POWER brings the same form from Race 664, and he was a touch unlucky on that occasion. He doesn’t possess as strong a finish, but he can take a closer position in the running and that could prove a key to his winning chances. GALACTIC was also a play for me when he last raced too, and his performance was simply ordinary. Perhaps the mile stretched him, so back to the 1400m should be a positive, along with the application of the cheek-pieces. CHAMP PATROL is down in grade today and that is clearly a positive, and he receives a jockey upgrade to Chad Schofield. He should be a pace influence and even though he’s been weak to date, he is open to improvement. Chevalier Prince is the horse to beat, he’s no early spoil, and so I suggest waiting before backing him. Mighty Power is a good price early so is worth a small outlay.
