QUADRUPLE DOUBLE will be a main play in this event and he looks well placed. The 4.5kg claim of Jerry Chau aboard a front-runner is appealing, especially with this galloper’s recent form reading as well as it does. Quadruple Double rates clear of his rivals here and the tactics should be pretty uncomplicated. He has had seven starts at the course and distance for four wins and two seconds and I think he can improve on those stats this afternoon. I made UNIQUE TREASURE a play last time and whilst he still may not have won, his rider gave him no hope. Joao Moreira takes over here and I doubt he will make the same mistake of letting him drift out of contention during the running. CALIFORNIA TURBO brings in some reasonable form lines to this event and might be able to figure rolling forward and sitting on or outside of the leader, but really not much else makes appeal. The booking once more of Purton on RACING FIGHTER (9: 3-3-1) is noteworthy and he can be kept safe, but it is hard to see him winning a race like this too often. He’s simply to short in early markets for mine and I’m happy to be playing Quadruple Double here.
