NORDIC WARRIOR shapes as a horse a reasonable value early and therefore worth a small outlay to win. I liked his most recent performance when he hit the line with plenty of purpose over 1200m to finish 2^nd to Shining Gem, with his final-400m (22.44) coming in as the best of the meeting. Nordic Warrior has performed well over the mile without winning and maps to get a nice soft run around midfield during the race. BRAVE KING has been building nicely in his first preparation and in a key form reference behind Acclaimed Light (FARSHAD was 6^th), he sustained a nice run to the wire and perhaps with the shadow roll fitted it could help him find the little bit that he needs to. The concern for Brave King is that he doesn’t have very much tactical speed. CHAIRMAN LO and MAGNIFICENT finished alongside each other over the track and trip (Race 638) last time and both have similar claims again, while GREEN REIGN seemed to go better when ridden with patience in a recent trial. However, I’m not sure the “C+3” course is ideal for him if he gets too far back. However if the pace is strong early and they slacken the speed mid-race he good slide into the race before unleashing his strong finish. Nordic Warrior is the horse I’m happy to have a small outlay on to win this though as it’s not a high confident race, but nevertheless he’s overs.
