Goko looks a great winning chance for the budding apprentice jockey Jerry Chau. I haven’t really been a fan of DUBLIN STAR to date, but such is the apparent lack of depth in this line up, that he might have a chance to figure in the finish. He’s run well on occasions and really gets as good an opportunity as he’s had to win his first race here. COLONEL had excuses last time when checked in the straight and ‘mucus’ was detected post race. That said, drawing a low gate isn’t ideal for his chances today. GALLANT CROWN displayed some potential in his work and he is drawn to get a nice run tracking the pace on the outside rail this afternoon. He could be worth a small “speck” on debut. The recent turf trial of DR EQ was rather plain, but I have seen plenty of John Size-trained runners perform in the manner and still manage to win easily on debut. Watch for a market lead for him.
