It is pretty hard to fault the form of HONG KONG WIN and he looks hard to beat in this event. We were on him last time when beaten by subsequent winner Computer Patch, but that is looking exceptionally strong form now with Shining Ace also coming from that form reference and performing since. Hong Kong Win has drawn the right side of the straight course and in his recent trial they rode him back to hit the line. He has clearly gone to another level since they’ve been riding him a touch more patient early. He’s rated well but so has BALTIC SUCCESS, who posted a good number himself when bolting-up last start. Today although he is up significantly in grade, he will carry a relatively light weight, so will take some catching with Alex Lai can get him up and going early. I doubt that Moreira will let him get too far out of his sights, but Baltic Success is the early value.TEAM SPIRIT is also up in grade and he might actually be quite well suited with the drop back in trip. He’ll carry only 51kgs which makes has him weighted to be dangerously competitive. He, like Baltic Success and MULTIMILLION, will be part of the early pressure and it’s just a case of whether they go too hard in front? They rate to be there for a fair way however. If taking a quaddie, then include LOVING A BOOM on a wider ticket. This race-shape might end up suiting him and he could be a blowout chance at odds. I don’t want to be taking Hong Kong Win on to a huge degree, but he is just too short to back early. Baltic Success is worth a small win outlay and quinellas with Hong Kong Win with him and to a lessor extent Loving A Boom and Team Spirit are appealing.
