A number of the entrants (four) competed in Race 586 over the course and distance where LONDON LUCKYSTAR ran a very unlucky 2^ndto Foodie Princess. That said, after being hampered early, he was suited by the tempo and entitled to run on as he did. In this smaller field today, there’s not likely to be the same pressure through out, rather a muddling tempo looks likely. Nonetheless, I expect him to settle midfield and if he can let down like his last run, then he will be hard to beat. As a part of the different tempo expected in this race, HANDSOME BO BO is likely to attain an uncontested lead. He can be a dangerous proposition if allowed to dictate and that might help him stay the 1650m for the first time. From the Foodie Princess key form race, CLEAR CHOICE was held up at a vital stage and Zac Purton gets back on board (4:1-1-0), so I expect an improved performance. The early favourite is PING HAI TREASURE will be fitter for one run back, but his bodyweight is similar and I wonder how much benefit he has derived from that run? His best is good enough but based on that fact I will be taking him on to a degree, as he did need a few runs to hit his peak last preparation. I’m happy to back London Luckystar here and have a smaller outlay at a good price on Handsome Bo Bo.
