This isn’t the most straightforward race to finish the card. That said, JUNEAU PARK is a progressive galloper with John Size who really hasn’t run a bad race in his rookie season. He maps to get a soft run on the back of the pace and looks the horse to beat. Given the price he has come up early I’m happy to make him my best on the card. There could potentially be some value around PRIVATE ROCKET who has had a series of excuses in different races lately, and with any sort of ride today, he could easily atone. Again, at his price, I will be having something on him to cause a minor upset for sure. The drop in grade is key for RACING FIGHTER, and considering Zac Purton has had eight rides on him for three wins and as many seconds, it is generally a good guide when he gets aboard. A positive ride on HELLO BEAUTY might bring about some improvement, and Alfie Chan’s 3kg claim could be well utilized if he allows it to roll along in the lead. EZRA hit the line very strongly first-up and the bigger Sha Tin track looks far more suitable for him. If taking quaddies, include him on a smaller percentage ticket going wider outside of Juneau Park.
