LUCKY QUALITY is one of my better bets on the card. The blinkers were added for his last run where he stepped a bit slowly and just didn’t get enough tempo in the race overall to allow him to feature. His effort still contained merit and hopefully with the benefit of that run, he strips that little bit fitter and jumps better from the stalls. The booking of Zac Purton is a positive and from gate 1, he looks really well positioned to notch his first career win. HAPPY GOOD GUYS has been holding his form well and he has to have decent claims again. He maps to sit on the lead, which should mean he has every opportunity to be in the finish, although there is some horses with pace outside him like BULLISH BROTHER and FLYING GODSPELL. DESTINE JEWELLERY is drawn to be in a position to stalk the speed as he did on his last outing, and with that sort of run, he can get into the finish also. In fairness he could have nearly won last time with better luck in the running. Flying Godspell is well exposed and can fill a minor spot, as he will be suited on this course. He will need to jump well and at worst cross to sit outside of the leader though, which won’t be an easy task. I suggest backing Lucky Quality to win this though and the quinella with Destine Jewellery appeals.
