The two main chances in this event are CHARITY GRAND and INVALUABLE. The former sat close enough to a solid tempo last time and it seemed to dull his finish. Nonetheless, his prior effort behind Juneau Park reads well and has the ability to work forward and settle in a prominent position. There isn’t a great deal of pressure on paper and that fact could see him perform better and excel as a consequence. Invaluable was just awkwardly placed last time and got a lot further back in the running than he needed to. Chad Schofield is riding in good form and he can settle a lot closer this time from barrier 5, which should give him a much better chance. The likely leader is WHO’S HORSE, who ran 3^rdover the course and distance to Blooming Spirit and whilst that form is nothing special, the rail being in the “C+3” position is a positive for his chances. ELECTRIC LIGHTNING brings the same formline as Charity Grand and warrants some consideration, although he is well exposed in many respects. Not a race I’m too keen on, but the lead is towards Charity Grand and Invaluable to win with very small units.
