FOODIE PRINCESS gets a rise in grade following a string of solid performances on this dirt surface and no doubt he can land back in the winners enclosure. The wide gate isn’t a major concern in some respects as he will go back as per normal, but he will need a fair track where horses can make ground from off the rail. His recent trial, albeit on a wet dirt track was simply outstanding and he will be one of the main bets on the card. SUPERICH is much the same. He has been a frustrating galloper but this is his first attempt on the surface over the extended mile, and perhaps it is what he has been looking for. I think the wide draw for him is arguably a positive (he seems to be more comfortable in clear galloping room), but the market might well see it the other way around. PING HAI TREASURE is a class galloper and it just depends how fit he is following 290 days on the sidelines. He’s worked okay in the lead up to this. COT CAMPBELL has produced some excellent runs on the turf and this is his first outing on this surface. His best form is good enough for the class, but it is a guessing game whether he will handle the surface or not. CLEAR CHOICE is a proven performer on this surface and overall his form has been sound. I’m keen on Foodie Princess, but he needs to drift a fraction before he gets to a backable price.
