2 GOOD VIEW CLARICO (rp – $2.00)

WIN (7.5 units)

GOOD VIEW CLARICO shapes as the best on the day, even though there’s not a great deal of “fat” in his early price. He maps ideally and brings a good last-start performance to what is a very thin race.

Result: 1st @ $2.20 BC (+9 units)

PARTY GENIUS sees Purton team up with Whyte for only the fifth time this season and I think the pair can notch their first success. Party Genius was terribly ridden last time and with the expected pace today, should be able to sit behind the speed before being released past the tiring horses late. HAPPY FORCE drops into the grade and brings the best numbers to the race, but might not be in career-best form. However he’s too big a price to not have something on him as he’s capable of turning things around.

Results: 2nd (-4 units) + 6th (-1 unit) -> (-5 units)

5 DIAMOND KING (rp – $4.50)

WIN (3 units)

10 WINSTON’S LAD (rp – $9.00)

WIN (1 unit)

DIAMOND KING made good ground late in the race last time when taken back from a wide draw. With a more positive ride from the gates he can feature. WINSTON’S LAD should be suited by stepping back up to 1400m and is a consistent type even though limited.

Results: 12th (-3 units) + 6th (-1 unit) -> (-4 units)

14 BALLISTIC KING (rp – $5.00)

WIN (2.5 units)

4 PERFECT MATCH (rp – $4.50)

WIN (3 units)

11 GENERAL’S DELIGHT (rp – $10.00)

WIN (1 unit)

In the last race I’m effectively taking on the early favourite Beauty Legacy. BALLISTIC KING is a horse that should be suited to carrying a light weight and he’s been very consistent. PERFECT MATCH is one of the few leaders in the race and at the right tempo can be in the fight late. GENERAL’S DELIGHT has upside and even though poorly drawn is another that could get a better run than expected with a positive ride early.

Results: 1st @ $9.00 BC (+20 units) + 11th (-3 units) + 5th (-1 unit) -> (+16 units)

11 UNICORNBABY (rp – $9.00)

WIN (1 unit) PLACE (2 units)

UNICORNBABY is a very big price and today he’s drawn to potentially take closer order in the running. If he can, then he can run a cheeky race and I’m happy to speck him “each way” at big odds.

Result: 10th (-3 units)

Overall result for 26 units strategy

+13 UNITS (50% PROFIT)

Deserved to be an absolute fill-up with Party Genius, but a +13 unit day (50% POT) for the Best Selections and Strategy would be taken any day of the week. Good results outside of that as well, there’s plenty for people who us my RPs and from HH Live that includes jagging the quaddie ($2,400), even though it was a spend to get it!
