I have been waiting for both MOMENTUM GALAXY and SIMPLY FLUKE to compete and they have both come up in the same race – not ideal! Firstly, Momentum Galaxy was outstanding in defeat on his last outing when he was badly checked and blundered at the start, but still managed to run on with merit into 8^th over 1000m. He drops in grade tonight, gets a good barrier and looks ready to score. Simply Fluke has been slaughtered on several occasions and obviously the owner wanted a change of luck and has changed stables to Douglas Whyte. The horse was ready to win anyway, but now Joao Moreira jumps on board. The wide gate is an obvious concern, but if he can keep in touch early then with a genuine pace I think he can win. WOOD ON FIRE gets the blinkers fitted for the first time and his recent form is sound. He maps ideally and deserves to be in the market. AMAZING is another horse that is holding his form well, but he needs to raise the bar a touch.
