This is a very competitive race on paper and not an easy one to be definitive about. A few of these runners have been mentioned in my Sweet In Defeat (SID) files as well. I really liked the run of OWNERS’ STAR last time he competed at Happy Valley and his effort on the dirt prior to that, against the likes of RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE, ENFOLDING and RED ELYSEES was equally sound. Righteous Doctrine remains in good form and should go close again with only 1kg more weight to carry tonight. Red Elysees can also run well and will appreciate coming back up to 1800m. The benefit for him compared with Race 433 is that he has 1kg less to carry. Enfolding got too far out of ground last time and was actually very good in defeat. If he can somehow settle a tad closer, then he too might be able to measure up. RACING LUCK brings similar form to this as Enfolding (via Race 497) and he too has had a number of excuses this season. IN the end, it’s a wide open affair and luck in running might play a big part. Use my prices accordingly.
