This is a tough race that very even on paper, with a number of genuine chances, and a tricky map. BAND OF BROTHERS is a leading contender given his overall profile and he’s effectively coming back in grade. Zac Purton gets back on board (6:4-1-0) and he should secure a soft run from gate 3 following a moderate and likely muddling speed. MONICA’S winning isn’t over, he was excellent in defeat when close enough to a solid tempo and was only run over late last time. With an easier run in transit, he could easily land back in the winners’ enclosure. LOBO’S LEGEND has been mentioned in our SID files and he is ready to win, but the last three starts he has drawn 14, 13, 11 and he must navigate from barrier 12 today! However, should he get a good run in the race and there’s more speed than expected, then he is more than capable. Much the same applies to COT CAMPBELL and SMART PATCH, although the latter should naturally settle closer from an inside draw. ENZEMBLE is a horse that hasn’t had many favours and is a chance, although I can’t have him near his early market price. This is a deep race with plenty of winning chances, so it’s difficult to be labeling any one of them early. Use my prices accordingly.
