I’m really looking forward to this event and the return of WELLINGTON. He is an unbeaten two from two and looks a very exciting prospect. His latest win was a lot better than the bare margin suggests, mainly given the pattern (inside, on-pace were distinctly advantaged) that prevailed on the day. As a consequence, he has been leniently treated in the handicap with a 6-point penalty and with just 3kg more to carry, I expect him to prove very hard to beat. The obvious danger is ETERNAL HARVEST who won on his second career start in impressive fashion when making every post a winner. He beat BELUGA who wen on to salute first last weekend, but he also had the pattern of the day in his favour. There might be better value around LARSON. He fought bravely down the straight three weeks ago and should appreciate coming up to 1200m. The drawn is a concern however, but he looks a big price. E STAR also performed well to score last time and that effort rated better than the win of Eternal Harvest on the same day. He has a touch more weight to carry, but should prove competitive again.
