summary

This is a tough race with horses that possess a lot of early pace. SIMPLY BIG might be able to stalk the speed and if he can hold the form from his last run when he narrowly failed over the course and distance then he should be hard to beat. It might even be possible that he could hold the lead on the rail, which could enhance his chances. WINNER SUPREME beat Simply Big last time but will find it harder with more weight this time. JUST NOT LISTENING doesn’t have to lead and he won nicely first up this preparation. He will have to work from barrier 12 however unless Chad Schofield can quickly find a good position ‘one-off’. TEAM FORTUNE has solid form on this surface and he ran on quite well last time. If the leaders overdo things then he maps to be in the right spot to swoop late and pick up the pieces. Both HAPPY TOUR and MULTIMILLION have gone well in recent trials, with the latter performing poorly around a bend earlier this season. Happy Tour is a course and distance winner and he can run well, and for him, the wide draw might be more of a blessing than a negative as he’ll be in space that allows him to ‘stretch out’ rather than being amongst others. This isn’t an easy race, Simply Big is the horse to beat, but short, so very small outlays on Just Not Listening and Happy Tour could be warranted or sit out.

speed

There looks like there’ll be a heap of speed on here with WINNER SUPREME, MULTIMILLION, HAPPY TOUR and JUST NOT LISTENING horses that can go forward. SIMPLY BIG is drawn to land ideally behind those runners from HARBOUR ALERT.
