summary

This is another competitive Class 5 event, with no real standout. That said, BEST EFFORT with the 4.5kg claim of Alfred (Alfie) Chan does look interesting. He was only run down late at his last outing and he might be able to control the pace to suit in this event. LITTLE FANTASY finished third in the same event and maps quite nicely and to get a similar run today. Each is pretty well-exposed so they wouldn’t be an overly confident play, but their best can take them close. ENJOYABLE SUCCESS has the blinkers re-applied and he looks as though he will appreciate the rise to 1,800m once more, a distance that he’s run well over recently. If he can settle a touch closer after drawing quite well, it will make enhance his chances. YOUNG GLORY has been ready to win for a while now and trainer David Ferraris has opted to use Zac Purton on this occasion. Ferraris and Purton have only teamed up on five occasions this season and have yet to taste success, but at least this displays some intent to get a winning result. Barrier 11 makes it tricky, but that’s why the champion jockey is booked! Best Effort is worth a small outlay here along with Little Fantasy.

speed

There’s not much speed on paper here with BEST EFFORT the likely leader from PROUD SKY and PEARL FURU. LITTLE FANTASY maps to get a perfect trail behind the leader from VIRTUS STAR.
