This is another low-grade contest, but there is a winner amongst them and the race might set up nicely for NATURAL FLARE. He maps nicely, was solid enough over 1,400m last time when a beaten favourite and appears to get his opportunity this time to finally break through for his first win. The fact that he is currently a maiden says a lot though and you just couldn’t take too short a quote. M REBORN was beaten by RICHCITY FORTUNE over the course and distance six weeks ago, but riding him closer on that occasion seemed to backfire a tad. M Reborn’s win prior to that was excellent, but as is often the case with runners in this grade, they find it hard to put two together. In a race that REALLY lacks depth, THE HAPPY BUNCH might be the next-best chance, but it’s hard to be confident about anything in this one. The two horses I like the chances of the most are short enough early in betting, if you can get more than $3.60 for Natural Flare, then he’s the one I want to be on.
