I like the blinkers going back on RACING FIGHTER who loomed to win on his last outing and didn’t exactly go on with it, but then again the pattern of the day was also against him. Even though he’s drawn wide, with a positive ride and not a huge amount of speed in the race, he could be put in a forward spot and atone. BEAUTY SPIRIT is drawn awkwardly also and with top weight it’ll make things difficult, but he worked very hard when caught late last at his last start and a similar effort would see him go close on this occasion. UNICORNBABY impressed on his debut when working home stoutly at a big price. With natural improvement, he should be finishing strongly, but again, the race shape doesn’t exactly appeal. COOL TEAM will also strip fitter second-up and the move to 1400m is a bonus. He’s an interesting horse, that doesn’t appear easy to handle (hence his scratching before his last intended start), but he has ability. I’m happy to go with Racing Fighter as the main win outlay here and it might be worth taking small quinellas with Beauty Spirit, Cool Team and Unicornbaby.
