There will be a sound play in this event, TRUST ME. He was outstanding finishing runner-up at only his second career start when not getting the clearest of runs, but still managing to produce the 12^th-best final-200m (11.60) of the meeting after making a weaving run. The step up to 1,200m is a positive and he can go one better today. There is another genuine contender with MERIDIAN GENIUS, who has also shown good potential in a handful of starts over 1,000m and he is clearly looking for a rise in journey. He is drawn to get one of the runs of the race and should be given every opportunity to deliver his best from there. EMERALD SPUR was ready to win earlier in the season but there was obviously an issue and he warrants some respect, although he is first-up since October, so might not be fully wound-up. CHARIZARD is regularly running on and with a decent pace he should do much the same in this event. Quickening with top weight is a concern for him though. I happy to back Trust Me to win this though.
