This is not a race that makes a great deal of appeal and it is predominantly because AEROHAPPINESS comes up with the best figures for this event but I question his resolve. It is a thin race for chances and he can win it but he would need to get the right run in the race and he isn’t straightforward. DAN CONTROL is an interesting runner arriving in Hong Kong from Ireland as a maiden, but from a couple of good form races. His recent local trial was sound and he has struck a nice race to compete in first-up in Hong Kong. Purton rides for Moore and their record this season is 11 wins from 23, which even with Beauty Generation included, is excellent. WAR ROOM could be interesting and he promotes interest here. His first-up run this season (all the way back in October) was good, and his effort against the likes of Little Giant, Wishful Thinker and Dragon General contained merit. He is probably only about 95% fit but might be good enough to run a decent race against some lacklustre opposition. His early price certainly appeals. LOOKING GOOD might appreciate coming back to Sha Tin 1200m and might figure in the finish at an okay price also. That said a small each way outlay on War Room is a worthwhile ‘speck’.
