summary

We’re back to the all-weather track for this event and it’s pretty open. ALCAZAR ran well behind the promising Coby Oppa last time and from a favourable draw he should get the right run and this looks a good chance for him to notch his first local win. GRAND HARBOUR is better over this distance range so the drop back to 1200m should be a positive and with the blinkers back on again he can improve. WINNER SUPREME arguably has more upside than most others given this is his fourth career start, and his first on the surface. Generally speaking the Me Tsui-trained gallopers excel on the dirt so that in conjunction with the claim, he does look more than capable. BRAVE BABY is another that might have more progress in him, and while he failed at his only start on the surface, he has struck form now and probably deserves another chance. Overall it’s a race that has a number of genuine chances and one that doesn’t really appeal to outlay more than a small amount, but Alcazar is the horse I have on top.
