There are few newcomers here and being a race down the straight course I’m not overly keen to play in to this event. I expect that the outside gates might be advantaged but that said, GOKO was good in defeat at Happy Valley at his last start where he delivered a solid final-400m (22.33) and an argument can be made that he has been more effective down the Sha Tin straight in the past. EAGLE was solid in a recent turf trial but he wore blinkers on that occasion and doesn’t have them on here. Nonetheless, this will be his first go down the straight and if his trial was anything to go by, then he should be thereabouts. MULTIMILLION back to 1,000m, with a light weight is better placed and he might take some reeling in. However, there are a couple too many unknowns in this one for me to be approaching it with the confidence that I’d like, so am happy to sit it out.
