ENJOYABLE SUCCESS looks the horse to beat in this event on the back of his third to Gentry over the Valley mile last week (Race 452) and the step up to 1,800m looks a positive. However, the lack of pace is a concern for him given with the fact he doesn’t possess a great deal of gate speed to take a more forward position. He maps to sit in an ordinary spot, so whilst he’s the top selection he looks too short in early markets. DRAGON WARRIOR had his first look at Happy Valley last time and nothing really went right in the race won by Gentry. He will settle closer to the leaders in the running tonight and might be a decent value chance at a bigger price. BONITO has been getting closer to a win and he will definitely appreciate the move up to 1,800m, although the tighter circuit could be a slight concern. There isn’t much between MONEY WINNER and LITTLE FANTASY, who have each proven quite consistent in this grade recently. The latter is off a rock-bottom rating and is very limited in saying that, and his draw isn’t ideal, even though there isn’t much speed inside him so he could slide forward without expending too much energy. I’m happy to have a small each way on Dragon Warrior to open up the night here.
