This is a competitive event. CLEAR CHOICE was an impressive winner over the course and distance on his last outing six weeks ago and if he can find that sort of form again then he is going to take some beating. He maps nicely and only carries 2kg more for that win so makes some appeal. PLAY WISE is going to find it hard from the draw but his recent form is better than it appears at first glance, especially his last start when the steady tempo went against him. It is pretty easy to make a case for HEROIC GURU who might appreciate coming back to the city course following a sound effort at Sha Tin last time. He is well-drawn and has Moreira on board so will be a popular selection for many. MY WINNER has been performing well at Sha Tin in stronger contests and whilst he might find this easier, it is an awkward draw for him. He’s probably going to be wide and it’ll be a case of Teetan hoping to slot in somewhere. Both SPINNING DANCER and SMART ROCKET take a rise in grade following wins in Class 5, but each rated quite well and I doubt they will be disgraced this time around.
