We’re back to the all-weather for the final event and it’s another wide-open affair. If the pace is genuine (and I expect that it should be), then GOOD FIT is pretty easy to make a case for and with the booking of unfashionable rider Eddy Lai (152 rides for four wins this season) the price will be appealing. His strike-rate clearly isn’t great, but Eddy doesn’t get many opportunities and Good Fit is in very good form. VOLPINO provided his best Hong Kong performance over this course and distance last time and can figure in the finish here. He’s drawn to receive an economical run on the rail for much of the race. KIRAM and UNICRON JEWELLERY bring the same form lines as Volpino (Race 391) and each of those horses have claims too, although the latter has a wide barrier to overcome much like Good Fit. GLORIOUS ARTIST has been competing in stronger races, should appreciate the return to this surface and the booking of Purton is encouraging. Glorious Artist is the best chance per se, however Good Fit looks like he’ll be worth a small speck on late in the day.
