There is not much pace in this event at all. On paper there isn’t much between a few horses, but COME ON WONGCHOY has been running well without winning and considering he worked hard in the lead during his last outing there was quite a bit of merit in his effort over 2,220m. The rail being set in the “C” position and the chance to get a significantly easier time in front should help his cause. THE JOY OF GIVING is racing well, but has also been well-ridden by Moreira in both victories. This time, with the “Magic Man” suspended, apprentice Victor Wong takes over and whilst the 3.5kg claim will help the horse, whether he gets the pace or a ride to suit is more questionable. FORTUNE PATROL, DOCTORS DELIGHT, PROUD SKY and CELEBRATION all look capable if they get the right run in what is a very open race. Use my prices accordingly here.
