The favourite will be RISE HIGH who has some solid form lines being third to Simply Brilliant (What Else But You ran second and has won well since) last time and on paper one could argue this is an easier test. However, with top weight and making his first venture to the city circuit will not make it an easy task. Rise High maps well though and Purton has a very good record rating this galloper. In a tough race, TURIN REDSTAR, who could have won on many occasions this season gets the nod… Again. The rise in grade with a light weight might help him and if he isn’t driven to work too hard on pace with CIRCUIT GLORY then he has a great chance. Simply put is overall record is very good, even though he’s been costly from a win perspective, so I’m happy going again. Circuit Glory himself should get a soft enough time on the lead and run well. CITRON SPIRIT comes back in class following a gallant run in The January Cup where he could have easily won. He carried a light weight there and now gets lumped with 59kg which is a concer. He is super-consistent however and is sure to run an honest race.
