There looks to be a number of runners that can take up the lead in this event and as a result there should be solid pace through out. I like the form out of Race 360 where GOLDEN CANNON beat ROOKIE STAR (third) and LUCKY STORM (fourth). Golden Cannon had a sweet run through out the race, gained a deserved victory and given the strength of his recent form, he might be able to go back-to-back by winning tonight. Rookie Star had its chance last time but can be in the finish again even though the draw is tricky. While Lucky Storm might improve his finishing position with a slightly more conservative ride. SHOWING CHARACTER was very good in defeat behind Spinning Dancer over the course and distance a month ago. The little freshen-up is probably a good thing considering this is his seventh run of the season. He should be able to secure an economical run from barrier 2 and the race shape looks like it’ll suit him. CASH COURIER is going to get a cheap rails trip and should strip a little fitter following his first-up run this term. I like the booking of De Sousa and this ageing galloper might have another win in him off this mark. It’s not a race to play into strongly, Golden Cannon is a conservative each way play, otherwise use my prices accordingly.
