summary

I was keen on Savvy Seven the last time he ran and I’m happy to be with him as the horse to beat again, but obviously with the booking of Moreira he will come up short and it’ll be a case of whether that might be too short. The step up to a mile and the application of blinkers are both major positives along with the jockey chance, whilst the lack of tempo forecast for the race is against him. However, from a low draw the brilliance of Joao Moreira, might be able to offset that. BONITO comes through the same form reference (Race 313) and was also very good in defeat on his last outing. He looks like he might desire even further but his last effort was definitely sound – he looks like he’ll be value and worth a ticket each way. There is little doubt YOUNG GLORY is very close to a win but the drop back to a mile isn’t ideal. The lack of tempo played against him on his last start but considering he is drawn better he can improve and warrants serious respect. MONEY WINNER is racing well, Zac Purton has only ridden him once for his only career win and the horse can be added to the short list. Savvy Seven is the main outlay if you can secure more than $3.00, with Bonito worthy of betting too.

MANAGEMENT STAR can lead without much pressure here with JUMBO BUS, SURE SUPREME and BONITO potentially able to sit handy as well. SAVVY SEVEN should be able to hold a spot midfield from barrier 3.
