On paper there’s not a great deal of pace in the last race, which might help the cause of CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO. The Australian import formerly known as Keenhas created a positive impression since arriving in Hong Kong. He has had a freshen-up on his way to an assault on the Hong Kong Derby and his recent turf trial over 1,700m was solid enough. There will be some improvement to come from the outing no doubt, but the potential for a soft lead is also on the cards and will suit. All of that said there is a good bet with ENRICHMENT. He comes though a very slowly run race won by Ka Ying Star but ran better than Furore who just demolished his rivals in the Classic Mile. Enrichment will strip fitter again and given the amount of dead-ends he ran in to last time, there was an awful lot of merit in the run. Moreira takes the ride for John Size and I feel we’ll see his true level unlocked today. For me, these are clearly the two main players in the final event. MONGOLIAN KING comes through some sound form races himself, particularly when running fourth to Ho Ho Khan over 1,800m. I’m just not sure that dropping back to a mile is ideal, especially with the prospect of a slow tempo. Enrichment is my best of the day however, and I’ll outlay on him accordingly.
