This is a bad race that is laden with some pretty ordinary stock but there might be a couple of entrants at reasonable odds to speculate. That said the horse to beat is DIAMOND LEGEND. He will appreciate the move up to 1,400m and his efforts over 1,200m when runner-up on his last two starts have been solid. It is though a tricky draw for him and he will need his share of luck in a race where there doesn’t look to be much speed. A good value choice in this event is DARING HEART who maps well for his first run in this grade. If he could find the form from his runs in October/November then he could easily win. The booking of Zac Purton aboard the lightly-raced galloper RUN MOOCHI is interesting, as his effort two starts back was encouraging, but he still needs to raise the bar. It’s possible that he might given he’s stepping back up to 1400m today. Both NEVER BETTER and MONEY WINNER are holding their form quite well, but neither has any tactical speed and will be conceding ground, which will make it tough. This is not a race to get excited about but you could speculate on a couple at decent prices.
