summary

There’s not much speed at all in this opening event and I expect it to be slowly run. Outside of the pace factor, it is a very even on paper as well with very little separating these runners based on my ratings of them and their recent form. The preference is for BRING IT ON. He simply went too hard in the lead on his last outing and battled quite well in a race that also involved the likes of YOU HAVE MY WORD, AMAZING AGILITY and LE PANACHE. With a kinder ride through the first three-quarters of the race, Hugh Bowman might get his chance to open the day with a winner. GOOD DAYS has a different form line, but he wasn’t suited by the sit-and-sprint nature of the race won by Clement Legend last time and after being slightly hampered on the turn, he actually hit the line quite well. The blinkers go on, I’m tipping a more aggressive ride and that might be exactly what’s required for Good Days to feature. The booking of Moreira might help the cause of Amazing Agility, and if he tacks on to the field and they go really slowly, then that also might bring him in to the game when they sprint. At the early prices, small win outlays on Bring It On and Good Days look warranted.

There’s no pace on paper here. GOOD DAYS might work to the lead with ROMANTIC JOURNEY. LE PANACHE and BRING IT ON should sit close to the “front end” of the field in running.
