summary

There should be genuine speed in this event, but this race is not easy to dissect with a number of the main contenders coming off wet track runs with varying success. That said, the overall form of NOBLE STEED has been rock-solid and he appears to have found a race where he could win again. He drops back to 1,400m, which I like, and has drawn well so he should get his chance to potentially settle a pair or two closer than is often the case. KASI FARASI has shown good potential in a handful of starts but was a touch disappointing last time. He is drawn well with Zac Purton taking the ride, so I’m happy to give him another chance at what looks a tidy price in the early markets. BIZ POWER was a better run then Kasi Farasi last time but he might have been suited by the wet track? He’s drawn close to the rail, so it will be intriguing to watch betting in the lead up to the event. WITNESS HUNTER is a progressive type who is awkwardly drawn, but might be a decent option as well. He hasn’t done much wrong and will end up a lot higher in the handicap he just has a sticky draw to navigate. I am still building a profile on WINNING ENDEAVOUR and NOT USUAL TALENT so it’s possible for them to find a level not revealed yet. Overall I’m happy specking Kasi Farasi and Witness Hunter.
