summary

This race sees my best compete and it’s a case of being happy to stick with WAIKUKU up in class and down in weight. He really should be two from two in Hong Kong and was impressive when winning off a slow tempo last time, however, more speed is expected today and that should help this import. He is a progressive type who should map well here and is with the right stable to continue his rise. TAKING AIM also maps well and with Purton back on board he is going to take some beating, although at this stage he might be approaching his ceiling in the handicap ratings. MISSION TYCOON is a definite contender and Country Star has come out of his last start race to underpin the strength of the form. INFINITY ENDEAVOUR might fly under the radar to extent and he was quite sound when running on last time, but he is also well-enough exposed for me to think he is unlikely to be going to a new high. However, most of the action should be on-pace here with Waikuku to beat Taking Aim and Mission Tycoon.

speed

REGENCY BO BO and CHEERFULJET should both go forward and ensure that this race is run at a GOOD pace at least. MISSION TYCOON can position handily from TAKING AIM and WAIKUKU won’t be letting those two horses get too far out of his sight so expect to see him racing in the first third of the field.
