This is probably a race that I won’t play. The blinkers fitted to IVICTORY seemed to work well in a recent all-weather barrier trial, but ultimately the Group One sprinter has been disappointing this season when the pressure has been put on. That said, Moreira has had four rides on him for four wins, so on the back of that trial, which was highly impressive, he is the horse to beat. “Seeing is believing” in many respects, that said, how much do you trust his trial with the blinkers-on? WISHFUL THINKER beat JUMBO LUCK when they last ran (over this course and distance) and with a light weight the former can’t be ruled out even though he’ll be giving the two main chances a decent start with 400m to go. STYLING CITY is clearly very good and improving, but still needs to raise the bar considerably to win this. He has delivered wins though in five of six starts over this course and distance and clearly loves the straight. Who knows how far he can go? This will be an excellent determiner of that question.
