One of the debutants here FULL OF BEAUTY looks smart. I really liked his two trials leading in to this event and whilst the market will be all over him, he will no doubt take some beating. He has been well prepared, is well drawn and looks headed for a lot higher position in the handicap. LAKESHORE EAGLE won on his debut and it was a smart win, he posted the third-best final-200m (11.28) off a very sedate tempo, so while the race didn’t rate well, his win did. Lakeshore Eagle looks well treated in the handicap too following a six-point penalty. With natural improvement, he will have to go well again. YICHUN BLITZ (from my Sweet In Defeat file) was excellent on his debut. He was slowly away but closed well near the end of that 1,000m event. He will be better for the experience and up to 1,200m is a clear positive. There’s not really much else that makes appeal.
