The third race appears as though there might be a decent amount of pace in it and on paper it looks a very weak Class 4 contest with some ordinary performers taking part. HARD PROMISE was sound in defeat behind Split Of A Second at Happy Valley over this trip at his last outing but at the end of the day that race didn’t rate well. However, it might have rated well enough to win this! If GRACIOUS RYDER can find the level he has hit on his last two outings over this course and distance, then he could easily win. In addition, he should enjoy an economical run from the low draw. MR DARTHVEGAR has had a number of trials leading in to his debut, so fitness shouldn’t be a major concern. It’s fair to say he has moved quite well in his work so he is a winning chance especially with the booking of Zac Purton who has done plenty of the preparatory work on him. In a tricky race, BINGO might also be well suited if they take sit on him just off the leaders. He gets in to this event with 51.5 kg and as long as he doesn’t get involved in a speed battle, then he can be there fighting out the finish. There aren’t too many spoils in the early market, but Gracious Ryder is worth an each way ticket.
