This is an interesting race with the market likely to be strong around DASHING DART (Moreira) and MONEY WINNER (Purton). The former was desperately unlucky when he ran out of room at Happy Valley last time and that was only his third run in this grade. The Sha Tin mile is where he has won both of his races and interestingly, Joao Moreira has only had one ride on this son of Pins for a win. He will need at least a genuine tempo (or faster) to suit, which he might get with ADONIS and OTOUTO both entered. Money Winner will appreciate the blinkers going back on and maybe as a consequence he can settle closer to the speed, although that isn’t guaranteed either and he jumps from a sticky barrier of 11. His recent form has been solid though and I like the booking of Purton. The big price value in this event is LAUGH OUT LOUD. He has been at Happy Valley for his last three runs and he doesn’t perform well there. He comes through the same race as Dashing Dart and although 1,400m might seem to be his optimum trip, he can perform well over this distance. He was also a touch keen last time so the blinkers removed might help travel more kindly. At the prices small win outlays on Money Winner and Laugh Out Loud look best off early markets, however a quinella taking the three of them is appealing too.
